Active Sync and outlook troubles

I have an 4705 that is still running wm2003. (Is there a free, reliable way to upgrade this to wm5?) I have outlook 2003 and outlook 2007 in my computer. I use 2007. I am rebuilding the ipaq. When I try to sync it tells me that I have 417 things that need to be sync'd but when it gets about 3/4ths of the way through, it says ative sync has expierenced an unexpected error and stops.

If I let it connect as guest, there are no problems that I see.

I dont want to sync outlook info, I want to sync phatnotes and maybe spb wallet.

I know awile back someone mentioned that if I delete something in outlook. A personality or an account or something like that, sync-ing would work. I did that maybe a year and a half back and it did work but now I cant remember what I did.

Any one have any ideas

Are you referring to the Outlook "profile"?
If so, you can delete the profile(s) within >ControlPanel>Mail>ShowProfiles
New Horizon H.I.
