How to start from scratch with AS?

I am going nuts with ActiveSync. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, over and over again. It keeps thinking I still have another device.
Bottom line -- how can I get rid of ActiveSync 4.5, totally convince my PC it is on there for the first time, and do the same with my Dexll Axim X51V running WM 2005?

pc/start/control panel/add remove programs/delete active sync 4.5 restart. Reinstall active sync 4.5 Sync with axim and you should be asked to start a new partnership.

It's been said before and I personally had to go back to
Activesync 4.2 for my 51v WM5 to sync all the time,
4.5 is great on WM6 I use it on my HTC 7501.
