My AXIM used to sync perfectly in the cradle.
It doesn'it any more (in spite of changing to the newest ActiveSync PC version).

Nothing was changed since this happened.

An other PDA syncs quite OK in it's cradle.

Using the serial RS232 connection gives no result.(The serial GPS-mouse transmits its NMEA - sequences correctly).

A soft reset was of no use.

What might be the reason?

Try using a laptop and sync using IR

I suggest you use the search function in the ActiveSync forum. There's a lot of possible causes. Some minor and some major.
