Is it possible to disable Active Sync

I'm developing .NET CF application in C#. Type of application is security, and the main problem these days is Active Sync
Is it possible to disable Active Sync to connect my PDA to desktop PC when they are connected?
What I really want is when my application is running, and somebody put device in cradle nothing happens. I don;t have any idea how to do this.
Please help

Surely, the simplest way to stop Activesync on your PC is to uninstall it You will probably get device not recognized error messages when you connect your Axim, but Activesync won't start.

Failing that, just block AS via your firewall software, preventing it from communicating with the PDA.

I run WMDC on 6.1 but could you not just access running progams in the memory option and close AS from there?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what "it" was. Now, what I'm with isn't it, and what's "it" seems weird and scary to me.

You have two possibilities that I know of.

Active Sync Toggle on the PC, this allows you to turn AS off and on as you want.

Or Card Export on the PPC, this makes the PPC appear as a logical drive therefore not making AS start.
