I cannot seem to get my HTC to sync via Bluetooth, without manual intervention (ie using the connect via Bluetooth menu option).

I've set up a trust between my PC and my WM device, and successfully Sync-ed once during this setup, but there does not appears to be a way of making my device default to BT for all sync activity. The options under the 'Connections Menu item on the WM device (inside ActiveSync) does not allow any other setting other than USB.

I'm told that there may be problems with AS 4.5 not supporting BT and others that the HTC does not support BT Sync, its just that it does not allow BT to be supported as the default. If I use the 'Connect via Bluetooth' option after the setup I get the message that my PC 'does not support ActiveSync'

Has anybody else encountered a way of setting BT as the default transport method?

I'm not connected to the PC via USB
Outlook 2003 is running (and synchronised by ActiveSync)
OS is XP
ActiveSync is version 4.5 (build 4096)
WM is 6.1 Standard CE OS 5.2.20279
HTC is a S740 Smartphone
