Syncing two PDAs

I couldn't figure out where to put this, so if I'm in the wrong place, please excuse and move it to the proper forum.

I have an x51v and an HP iPAQ rw6815 both running WM5 and I'd like to keep at least the contacts and calendar synced in the two devices. Is there an easy, handy dandy way of doing this?

Thanks for your help!

now I may be wrong and i am sure someone else will chime in. I have a wm2003 ipaq 4700 and a wm5 wizard t-mobile mda which I sync to the same computer.
For one thing you set up 2 partnerships in active sync. From there you can specify what things sync to each device. I purposely dont sync everything to both units, to save on memory and because in my expierence, especially with phatnotes...
Somewhere somehow phatnotes tends to think that a given note on the 4700 is a different note than the same note in the mda so it puts it in twice. Same thing with contacts. I may not be doing it right but i get tired of having to delete duplicates

Vilasman is correct. All you need to do is set up a partnership for each device with your computer. Outlook on your computer will become the clearinghouse for any changes made to this data. Keep in mind that changes you make to your x51v will get synced to your computer, which in turn will be passed on to your 6815, and vice versa.

Thanks, Guys

So it seems that the PDA that synced first, plants its data in the second PDA. That right?

Appreciate your quick feed back.

no not necessarily...
you have 3 options
to combine all data
to replace whats on the pda with whats on the computer
and i forget the 3rd cause i never use it
it's when you combine all data that stuff gets doubled

The first time you sync to your computer, ActiveSync will recognize if you've got data on both the computer and the pocket pc and will prompt you for how you wish to proceed (as Vilasman mentioned). You will have three options:

Overwrite the data on the Pocket PC with the data from the computer
Combine the data
Do nothing

If you've got unique data and some of the same data as on the computer on your pocket pc, none of these options are ideal. Overwriting the data will remove any of your unique records, combining the data will duplicate data.

I'd recommend that you update your computer with any of the unique records you've got on your pocket pcs before you attempt a first sync. Then when you are prompted about how you wish to proceed, you can choose the overwrite option.

Thank you very much everyone.

I've been tinkering with activiesync and got it worked out. Your information and advice saved me a bunch of time and frustration.
