Active Sync problem/question
I have been reading the site for about a month and everyone has been a great help. I got my 1st Axim for christmas and I am really glad I found this site. I am new to the PDA world and all of the post have been very helpfull.
When I sync my PDA using the craddle and via wireless I get 4 pop up messages on my computer saying the same thing. The pop up window is "Microsoft LDAP Directory" Below that is connection details, Server name :null, port 3268, user name: null, password: (blank). I have to hit OK 4 times for the Axim to sync. Is there a way to make it stop doing that so I can place it in the cradle and it syncs without any input. It's driving me crazy.

Welcome to the site.
LDAP stands for "Lightweight Directory Access Protocol". This is something used for accessing global address books for things such as providing employees with the address book of all other employees. Are you sycning to a work computer? You must have set something up at some point in the services section of outlook to get a message like this. Activsync is probably seeing an issue with the settings for that service. Try this, with outlook open go to Tools> Email Accounts> Select View or Change Existing Directories. This will give you a list of your address book entries, including any LDAP accounts, which show up in the Type column. Check to make sure that address book is not the one you need. If you don't, you can select it, hit change, and then delete it. Careful you don't delete the account that is type MAPI. That is your personal address book. Delete that and you will be quite upset with yourself.
