Sync between two machines

I have a strange problem... :rolling:
I can sync my X3i at home (with Outlook) through the cradle no problems but cannot get it to work reliably at work. I'm using bluetooth at work and syncing calender, contacts, tasks and favorites only (no email), It was OK to start with, then I found I had to change the (bluetooth) com port to another one and back again to get Activesync to see it, now it just goes through the sync process, leaves loads of items unresolved and then hangs (I have to kill the wcescomm.exe process). I thought it may be our mail server software (Samsung Contact) so I logged in to Outlook 'off-line'. Another thing is: previous calender entries (with recurring entries) are multiplying each time I try and sync.

Any thoughts of what I might try will be greatly received! (Sorry for the chapter and verse!)

Are you manually changing the "Use this PC" option in ActiveSync's Tools-->Options?

No, I'm not - it is set to sync continuously. Should it be set to manual?

No, what I mean is that you need to update the "Use this PC" option to whichever computer you are connecting to. At least that's how I've successfully been synching with multiple computers.

If someone knows a way where I don't have to change the sync configuration every time I change location, I would be more than happy to try out a solution!

I see, I think! Where do you change the config, on the PPC? I'm not sure I found this option. When I initially configured, it asked me if I needed to sync to more than one PC and the rest just happened.

I have had my X50v for over a week now, and in my long wait, prior to receiving it, I downloaded the latest version of Activesync 3.8, but when I Sync'd I didn't see any option with 3.8 to Sync to Two Computers, I have since reverted back to 3.7 Version which does, you would have thought 3.8 would also have this facility or have I done something wrong??
