activesync lockups
I sync wirelessly with my axim x50v at two places, at home and at work. It seems like the Active Sync on my axim "locks up". I don't really have any software installed other than PocketBreeze/ContactBreeze, iLauncher and Magic Button. I don't think the problem is with any of these. Any ideas on what could be happening?? Would a hard reset help? I typically use the "Memory" applet to see the "Running Programs" and stop activesync there. After that I can restart it with no problem.
When it "locks up" the desktop also seems to become unresponsive. This can go on for minutes, even after the desktop window shows everything is synchronized. Am I just being too impatient? Lastly are there any utility programs that can help monitor resources of applications? THANKS!

I have the same problem, except that when it locks up it does not eventually sync. (I have the X50) I also go into the memory setting and manually stop the program or preform a soft rest, then it will work fine for a bit. I am currently trying to run on a bare bones system to see if there was a conflict between programs. I even took out mt SD card because I was reading about possible issues.
I don't expect perfection but i do expect my pda to run fairly smooth with few bugs.

I spoke with Dell today and i think we figured out a solution for the active sync lockup.
Click on the options button, then on the rules tab. at the bottom make sure the box next to "Open ActiveSync when my mobile device connects" is NOT checked. It worked for me, now i have no problem, it seems to be working fine. I hope it stays that way. Phil
