Question Sync Problem

Hi all from Spain!
These past 3 days I cant sync my Axim x5 with my laptop.
I keep getting some message that says that there are two folders C:\Program Files\Microsoft & C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office and that I must rename one of them to get it going again...
The thing is that there is no such C:\Program Files\Microsoft folder anywhere in my computer.
It's reallt driving me crazy!!

The only reference I've found is at

http://www.cewindows.net/faqs/active...stallation.htm

Under paragraph 12:

If you see an error message saying that you have more than one program directory with the word Microsoft (ie: c:\program files\microsoft) in it, see Microsoft Article 216621 for details. Here's the message you may see "Activesync cannot log on to Microsoft Outlook. Make sure MS Outlook is installed and functioning correctly. You may need to restart your computer. You could have a conflict due to two folders on this computer are named C:\Program Files\Microsoft and C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Office. If so, rename.......".

MS Article 216681 (which is the article whic a the link takes you as 216621 does not exist) doesn't give much info about the problem...

Anybody can help??

THANKS!!!

Do you have Outlook insalled on your PC? The solutions in that paragraph seem to point to the problem being with Outlook. If you do, you could always uninstall, delete any remaining folders for it on your PC, then reinstall.
