Active Sync / Bluetooth
I am trying to use Bluetooth to sync. I have Bluetooth setup on a Dell 8600 and works. I can hook up to my Delorme GPS and it shows it is hooked up to my X50. The main problem is with Active Sync. My Bluetooth is using com 12. Active Sync will only show up to com 3. How can I get Active Sync to recoginze to other com ports? Syncs fine on USB.

That might help. It worked for me. You can delete the spurious ports until BT is under 9. I uninstalled BT, then tried the trick in the article, then reinstalled BT. | |||||

Ok guys,
Might I make a suggestion? I've got the X50 and have been trying to sync for months now with BT, thats right months. Sometimes I had success sometimes it just acts weird spontaneously. All along I had been reading posts on this site saying I should just try to sync via wifi. I decided to stick it out and find a way to make it work. Never happened. It connects to my IBM laptop... sometimes. I got it to work with my home pc only twice in all the months of trying. So I gave up and decided to try wifi active sync. It took me literally, 2 mins to setup and I was syncing with no problems. So my suggestion is, BT active sync is much to problematic to be worth the trouble, go with wifi active sync instead.
