Active Sync Circle Keeps Turning without Connection

I've looked in the FAQ's and forums and so will venture this question....

We have 3 Axims--X5, X30, and X50. We just bought a new computer and so have had to set up Active Sync anew. The machine runs XP SP2. Connections for the X5 and X50 have worked fine, even with Bluetooth. I tried to connect the X30 for the first time by cradle and the AS icon kept turning around, saying connecting....but never connecting. I should have gotten a screen to set up a new partnership. I reinstalled AS with no change. Is something wrong with the X30? Could this be a firewall problem (using windows firewall)?

Me Too!

Hi -

I recently purchased the X50 and have tried every single trick under the book to get it to sync with my computer, but I am having the same problem (circle turning, says connecting, but never connects)!!! How long does the first sync take?

I hope someone can help before I throw my laptop out the window!

When you connect a PPC that has no partnership with the computer, you should get a setup screen almost immediately. That's what I don't get about this--it's like AS doesn't recognize the Axim. But it will recognize two others....argh.
