ActiveSync keeps starting itself
For the last week every time I turn around, ActiveSync has started itself again. I close it with MagicButton, it opens again 10 minutes later. I close it from the OS Memory uility, and it opens again 10 minutes later. This is happening regardless of wether WiFi is on or not. Is there a fix for this?
EDIT: This is happening when the device is NOT cradled.

From what I have seen this is "normal". Mine does it too. In doing a search I have seen posts saying this is just how activesync works. I have given up on trying to keep it closed. It dosen't seem to mess with anything. Mostyly my OCD trying to close things all the time. :)

First, close down Activesync on the Axim, then check the Notifications Queue using Memmaid, Check Notifications or similar utility. Look for an entry for "repllog.exe" with an argument of "/remote /all /h /p:all" which will be timed within the next 10 minutes. Delete the entry and Activesync will not start again.
This seems to be the result of a failed sync operation, which would occur if you run Activesync while the Axim is uncradled. Activesync posts the above entry on the Notification Queue wake itself up 10 minutes later and try again.

Go into the ActiveSync settings and clear the UseMobileSchedule checkbox.

:attn:
I would not do this. I allowed myself to be talked into it and now I have NO ACTIVESYNC. Everything is gone!
After a Hard reset and a complete reinstall of ActiveSync I can connect. Now to figure out where and what to reinstall.

There is a utility from micrologics.co.uk (ActiveSync Toggle) that completely disables AcyiveSync on the PC. Then, with a single mouse click, you can re-enable it :) Works great :)

Thanks! This seemed to do the trick. BTW, what does "UseMobileSchedule" do, exactly?

Sorry to hear you had problems but there's no way deleting a Notification Queue entry on the PPC should affect anything on your PC.
