Contact's birthdays keep creating duplicates

I'm syncing my X30 with two computers. Both are running Office 2003 SP1 and ActiveSync 3.8 Build 5004. I'm having a problem with birthdays constant duplicating themselves on both the Axim and Outlook side. It seems that if I sync with my work computer and then at home, it adds all birthdays to my calendar again. The opposite is also true. In some cases people have had a birthday even on my calendar 10+ times.

I've tried deleting all the Outlook calendar events and contacts at home and resyncing to transfer from the Axim back to the PC which worked fine until I brought my Axim to work and sync'd again. Again, it tires to duplicate all my birthday events.

Is there a way to add birthdays once and then turn this feature off? I'm getting frustrated and my calendar doubles in size every time I sync.

Hmmm...When you initially sync for the first time, ActiveSync gives you three options on how to sync data with your PocketPC. One would think that if you set both PC's to the "combine" data option, you wouldn't run into this duplicate problem. See if you can set up (or maybe even go as far as to reinstall) ActiveSync again and try that option. Hope this helps.
