x50v upgrade

I upgraded without difficulty. Now when I try to active synch it doesn't recognize my PPC and I have to enter it like it's a new one. There should be some way around this. (Other than restoring which they don't recommend) What am I missing?

Uninstall activesync, remove axim from usb port, reinstall activesync, then establish new partnership just like you did when you first got it.

Get the latest version of activesync from microsoft site. I think it's 3.8.

You don't need to uninstall or to get the most recent version of ActiveSync. Just create a new partnership. There's no way around this.

For the record updating to the new activesync didn't help. Had to make a new connection. Seems cumbersome because you have to use a new name and then move all the files from one folder to the next.

New problem:

Now when I sync everything goes fine and it says I have 40 files or so to do which should take about a minute and a half. It works through that and immediately starts again, over and over. I've left it for up to 30 min and it never finishes. Any ideas?
