ActiveSync 3.8 Backup
Is this versions backup good for restoring when you crash and have to do a hard reset? Or if you do a ROM upgrade? I was looking at Sprite Backup but am not sure it is necessary.

I have sprite, but the activesync works just fine. You really do not need anything else as long as you have your computer near by after a hard reset.

Where Sprite can save the day is when you aren't near your PC. I have mine set to do a self restoring backup each night @ 10pm. It saves the .EXE file to my storage card. If (when?) I come to the day when my x30 requires a hard reset I will be able to restore it back to 10pm the night before and thus not loose very much and not have to reload everything one prog at a time.

u are right Mr. Inky and that is why I have it as well. But if that is not important to top it will save him the $$ - I actually use both but find myself using the activesync more because I usually am at my computer when I do a hard reset because I have only had to do it when I added a program etc.

Ok, if I get what everyone is saying, is to use activesync to backup and restore from the PC, and the standard edition of Sprite to backup and restore from the flash memory.

I gotta have it now

Thanks,

Top
