Active Sync with outlook
I installed activesync and outlook to keep track of my contacts on my laptop. I recently formatted my computer and reinstalled and now it won't register. It says I need to call in and get them to change it. I format my computers regularly and am wondering if there is any way to transfer the outlook activation?
I have a ghost image of the laptop before the format. | |||

No, there is no way to transfer the activation. It is Microsoft's way of making sure you aren't just installing it on another computer of the same type. Perhaps when you call you can convince them that you format often and they can change something in their system so you only have to call every four or five formats.

I know they do that for that reason but in XP there are 2 files that you can copy and put on the newly formatted machine and it won't make you reactivate (as long as the hardware hasn't changed too much).
