ActiveSync Why has it taken so long for this category?

activesync problems
I have a couple of problems first while connecting sync cable to my x3i a couple of the pins were damaged.I had already set up a partnership between my pc and the x3i so I purchased a wireless router and tried to sync this way.The only problem is when I go to activesync connection settings it shuts down my computer.
please help
