I am new to PPC and ActiveSync. ActiveSync seems to totally ignore the Desktop schedule setting. I set it to "Manually", yet every time I place my Axim X50 into the cradle it synchronizes. I really want to keep it manual because I have multiple Outlook Profiles and bad things happen if the wrong one is running and I forget and put the X50 into the cradle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't Panic!

There's a desktop program called KillActiveSync that will set you right. Scroll to the bottom of the page.

Is there a known bug with ActiveSync that it synchronizes no matter what the schedule settings say?

I think "manually" means something different to microsoft.
To paraphrase Rocky the flying rodent; 'That trick never worked'.

If I ever get to Redmond that will be the first thing I ask. What do you mean by manually?
