Better sync software than ActiveSync ?
Hey all,
I'm so damn fed up with ActiveSync ! It gives me the possibility of two partnerships, but if I have two partnerships, I can't sync mail on my home machine, althought I don't sync mail at my work machine.
So, here's my question: Do any of you guys know a sync package that will allow me to sync my PocketPC with my work PC and my home PC ?
Buyware, freeware, shareware, whatever, as long as it works, and works well !
Thanks in advance...

It should work with Activesync. Re-establish your partnerships, making the first partnership with the one you want to have email from. It will not sync email from both. If not, Kelbran has a sync program that will sync more than two computers.

I ended up buying XTND Connect. It works, no hassle. Now, the only things Activesync handle, are file sync's and AvantGo. The rest is XTND Connect.
A nice feature of XTND is that you can choose for each component, if it's a two- or oneway sync. Which is great for me. Home, twoway sync on all. At work, no contact sync, oneway sync appointments from pc to pocket pc, no mail sync, twoway task sync.
Flexible, it works, and that's just the way I like it.

Hi Jacob,
Sounds very interesting, particularly as I've just about given up on my newly-acquired Axim X30 as ActiveSync is lacking some features I require for syncing with Outlook 2000 (which I presently use).
Since Extended Systems doesn't seem to have a trial/demo version available for XTND Connect, can you tell me if it allows one to sync multiple sub-folders from Outlook with the Axim's Contacts? (not even sure if you're using Outlook, but thought I'd ask)... but if you ARE using Outlook, any idea if XTND also has 'real-time' conflict resolution, where it alerts you if any records have been changed in both places, and allow you to choose the 'winner' before the it continues with the sync?
Thanks!
Greg
