"Backup not for this type of device"

Hello

Long time no posts!

Recently I downloaded the new build of FPSEce (PS1 emulator) and thought "why not wipe my X5 so I have maximum RAM to see just how fast it is" so I made a full backup through my cradle (Activesync 3.5 I think, the new-ish one).

Played with FPSEce, decided it was time to restore my files, get to the restore screen, select my backup, and I get greeted with:

"Backup not for this type of device"

Or something like that (I'm in work atm, so can't see the exact error)

Does this mean my backup is corrupt? is there a way to extract my data from this backup image?

Any help gratefully received

You may have had a different Regional Setting selected when making the backup. Make sure you pick the same one as before then try restore.

That's not the problem, I have restored a really old backup I found on a CF card, and that worked, but even if I try it again after that, it refuses to work.

I guess I am just going to have to go through all my backup disks, and find all the install files and product key's...
