Axim X50 - Activesync problems

Hi,

I have an Axim X50 upgraded to A02 ROM.

I had a lot of trouble with Activesync 3.8, which caused me to HR my Axim and finally had to format my PC as well (Activesync is extremely difficult to remove).

After formatting drive C: and reinstalling everything and creating a restore point on my PC, I tried to sync with my home PC.

I received an error saying that I had too many partnerships and to delete one. Apparently, my Dell had my work username/profile as one partnership, and the administrator's profile as the second.

I deleted the administrator's profile so I have only one partnership left, but the I keep receiving the following error message:

"No profiles have been created. To create a new profile, use the Mail icon in the Control Panel".

Then I clicked the OK button, and received the following error message:

"Synchronization cannot be completed because your personal information manager (PIM) cannot be accessed. Ensure your PIM program is running, and try to synchronize again. If your PIM program is still running, restart your personal computer".

Then, if I pressed OK, the same errors reappeared.

I use Outlook Express, not Outlook. Maybe this is the problem?

I have WinXP SP2 with Office 2003.

After several attempts, I entered Outlook, defined a profile and my email accounts, and then everything worked.

However, I prefer to use Outlook Express, not full Outlook.

I'd appreciate any advice on this.

Thanks,

Daniel
