ActiveSync 4.0

When the x50 first came out, there was talk about it using ActiveSync 4.0. However, there was a delay in that and 3.8 came out a month or so after release of the x50. Has there been any new info on when 4.0 will be released or has it basically died out and 3.8 is what we get to use for the next 2 years?

Or with MS it could well be over 9 months and still be called 2005

we're running 2003 in 2005, so if 2005 comes out, it will be called 2003 II Turbo hyper edition. uhh. yeah.

noticed that you have the same compliment of bluetooth mobile devices, primarily speaking of the x50v and v551. i'm trying to figure out how to pair them and sync via active (or other app).

can this be done? if not directly, can it be done with a PC/notebook in the mix via usb?

novice to the whole mobile syncing thing so any pointers/links would be appreciated. have done a ton of googling but so much of what i read seems a bit abitrary.

ty,

Anyone have Activesync 4.0? I came across an install file for it, but I'm just curious if it works with the X50V yet.

According to all of the posts in this thread, it is not available yet. Maybe the commish might be super secretly testing it, but I haven't seen any real evidence of it. Anyone

what I have seen posted so far is that people who have upgraded to the 4.0 copy that has been leaked have not been able to sync via wifi and they have had problems trying to go back to 3.8. there have been posts to this effect. Not sure if anyone actually figured out how to go back yet but you may find the answer if you search for it. I think I will wait.

You can't sync directly... you can send a contact (one at a time)from the axim to the phone, but that is about it. Really do need aPC between them
