Activesync not syncing

Ok since i've got my axim activesync has been a bit lairy, it'll connect for file transfers and sync PIE favourites but it runs into a problem when it tries to sync PIM data, Activesync comes up with two notification boxes symultainiously when i try to sync, as shown below

"Synchronization cannot start because this desktop computer cannot access neccessary information. Restart this desktop computer and synchronize again, if the problem persists and this desktop computer is running microsoft outlook 2000 open outlook 2000, click help then click detect and repair. Otherwise contact your network administrator."

and this one

"'C:\Documents and Settings\owner\Application data\Microsoft\addins\C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\office10\SBCMSYNC.DLL' is not a valid office add-in"

this one also comes up when i open outlook on my desktop.
I'm syncing my Axim x50v and my desktop is running activesync 3.8, outlook 2002 and windows XP sp2.
I'll be grateful for any help anyone can give :)

hmmm just came home from work, put my axim in the cradle and it synced for the first time since i've had it, i hadn't done anything or changed any settings, thats bloody computers for u :bang:
