X50 Sync on Multiple PCs - Problem
I wish to sync my X50 with 2 laptops. The sync works fine on my work computer but I can not sync on my home computer - it will not connect although it recognizes that the X50 is there.
I found on the X50 that there is a setting in active sync that says 'When syncing remotely with a PC Use this PC:' Then there is a drop down box to select the PC - however this only lists my work PC. How do I get this to show my home PC too, so I can switch between them? Or is this the right way to do this in the first place? Thanks for any help on this Dave

The connection wizard should automatically detect that it is being connected to a new machine and it adds some additional questions in to the wizard.
Did you (as when you first install) follow all the steps - ie install AS, only connect the cradle when it tells you, only connect the Axim when it tells you etc. A lot of people forget to do this and connect the cradle before installing the software ![]() Also when not connected can you open AS on your PC and go to FILE> Delete Partnership. Delete the partnership and then put the Axim in the cradle. Any joy?

Ok - when I am not connected (on the 2nd computer) the option to delete partnership is greyed out. Presumably becasue the partnership has never been established. When I connect to this computer, activesync comes up and says connecting, but just sits there and does nothing.
Yes I did the install and everything in the right order as per the instructions. However there were no additional questions in the wizard. Any other thoughts? I think I will uninstall activesync and try again just to be sure. Could it have anything to do with Win XP (on the machine the works) and Win 2000 (on the one that doesn't)? Thanks
