HELP - ActiveSync Shuts Down!!

Hi All,

Can anyone please help me with a problem?

I am running ActiveSync v3.8, but from the first moment I have had a very strange problem!

My PC is always left on (for various reasons) and I Sync either by Wi-Fi or USB. The problem is that if I haven't done a sync for more than a day, the ActiveSync icon disappears from the Taskbar and closes down. If I want to do a Sync then I have to login to the PC, double click on the ActiveSync icon and reload it.

Any ideas as to why, as it is getting rather frustrating - especially if I am trying to sync via Wi-Fi?

Thanks,

Gareth

Welcome to the site!!

Does this happen when your computer goes into standby? What OS are you running?

If you can't resolve the issue then perhaps an easy way to restart the app is to put a shortcut on the desktop or taskbar.

Thanks for your welcome and reply jpmarth.

1. My PC is not set to go into standby at all.

2. I am running XP Pro.

3. I have got a shortcut on the desktop, but it still doesn't deter from the fact that I have to come back to the PC all the time to click it!
