activesync connects initially then loses connection when syncing

Okay ... I'm stumped. Axin X30H running AO3; activesync 3.7 then upgrdaed to 3.8. When the ax is placed in the cradle, activesync recognizes and shows all records that need syncing. I click to sync, it tries to cyle through first sync record and then cancels out .. states no connection.

Have tried numerous soft resets, deleted and reassigned partnership 3-4 times. Still same result. Odd thing is ... never had a problem in 6 months of syncing. Recently had to reinstall all software on computer as hard drive crashed.

What to try? Is a hard reset necessary?

Thanks!

1. Have you checked the ActiveSync logs for more detailed information?

2. If you see an unusual entry in the log, look it up on www.cewindows.net.

3. Right click the ActiveSync icon on your PC's system tray, choose connection settings. Uncheck the "sync using network" optionthen try again.
Best Regards,

Wooch

Thanks so much for your input wooch. After trying all of your suggestions, performing a hard reset (ny first ever!), I then finally figured out that it was an out of date version of the ACT link that I was using

Oh well ... all is good now .. just have to re-install all my apps.

Thanks again!
