Sync More than One Profile

If we use more than one profile in Outlook, will Active Sync show both profiles on our pocket pc? Will we be able to access both profiles?

Welcome to Aximsite!

If you have more than one profile, ActiveSync will prompt you to select the profile you wish to sync with each time you sync.

Do you mean use both profiles with one PPC? I have never done that myself and have only synced one profile per PPC, but I don't see why not. Keep in mind, however, that when you sync with both profiles, data from the previous profile will be overwritten each time. If all you want to do is install programs, then you can just sync as a Guest instead.

Profile A
Messages 1, 2 & 3

Will be overwritten by

Profile B Messages 1, 2,& 3

So that, if we have 2 profiles, the data / messages for one are only ever available from the pocket pc?

What I mean is that you cannot combine the data from the two profiles. So in your example above, syncing with profiles A & B will not yield 6 different messages, but only 3 each time.

It would be really tricky to do so because each time you sync, you would have to make sure that you were not overriding the messages from each profile. Let's say you first sync with Profile A. Now you have Profile A's messages on your PPC. Next, you want Profile B's messages. In order for Profile A not to override everything you have in Profile B during the sync, you'd have to change the settings so that the PC data overrides the PPC data. However, if you just kept the settings like that, you would never be able to input any new data from the PPC since the PC always overrides the PPC.
