I just received my Axim x50V and have installed ActiveSync on my computer at work and am able to sync with the cradle without any problems. I ran thru the tuitorial and am still not able to sync using wireless. When I tell the Axim to sync I know that I am making it thru the router because ActiveSync on my desktop will become active and it will display Conneting. It will say this for a minute or so then fail. I've turned ZoneAlarm off so it's not a firewall issue. In the tuitorial they suggest going thru a B router so I attemted to go thru another access point at work that is B, versus our main one which is G. Still the same thing. Anyone have any ideas? Most of the threads that I've read thru involve the device not even making it thru the router to the desktop. I can make it that far the Axim just doesn't want to sync.

Is the router configured for mixed mode?

  

I have had something similar when trying to connect over the internet not in the same network. When I try to sync from a AP somewhere else it fails. I have connect by terminal severs to see what happens and it does what you say whirrs around green then fail.

My suggestion to you are check you connection settings and try work, internet and see if one works. Also there is spot in AC in the newer versions that is not covered in some tuturials. With ax in the cradle goto "file"->connection settings and check the ethernet/remote access check box.
