Question SYNC: Only Calendar and Contacts?

Hello,

My email life is MIGHTY complicated. I'd prefer just to use my PPC to sync my contacts & calendar. Is this possible?

So that, when sync-ing and using the PDA, all I'd be accessing is the Calendar and the Contacts, and the emails would be left alone.

As a follow up: do any of you all do it this way?

Thanks!!

Just go into Tools, Options then uncheck "Inbox" and then your email will not be synced.

:D :D :D

THANKS so MUCH!! I guess my thought about my follow up was two-fold: security and memory.

If i LOST the PPC, even passworded... ALL email accounts there! Scary.

Then, memory -- how much of the mailbox does the Sync-ing sync with? Will it duplicate our WHOLE PC's email, or just hold what it collects. Put another way: how much of the PC's mail-in-memory will we usually have on the PPC?

Thanks you again, ever so much. Already sent my brother to your site!

So nice to be appreciated! ;)

About your other question, I'm afraid I don't know for sure because I too do not sync my emails.

You are very Welcome!!

Really GREAT to have such a fine resource.

Please can you share your strategy / thinking about not doing the email thing? Are you thinking like me?

THANKS AGAIN!!

Erm..I don't really have a strategy... :hide: I just choose not to sync them because they are not that important and most of my email can be accessed via the web anyway (e.g., Hotmail, gmail).

Very good. I was thinking along the same lines. If you want to check those sites via the PPC, is that easy to do?

THANKS SO MUCH!! :D :D :D

Checking hotmail and gmail is a easy as pie - just type in www.hotmail.com or www.gmail.com into your browser!
