I've not heard of anyone experiencing issues with 3.8. Works great here
Best Regards,

I'm using it with OL2002 without any issues. It does seem better than previous versions. I cannot remember having any connection problems since I installed it (not that I had many before).

What makes 3.8 seem better? I haven't installed it since the improvements in AS3.8 seemed to be geared towards XP SP2 firewall issues, which is not a problem for me. Are there other functionality
improvements?

In the previous version, if you synced by wireless and had made appointment changes on both the PC and PPC, you'd get an "unresolved items" error. I've noticed with 3.8, it asks you which change you want to accept.

That's the only thing specific I've noticed. As I said, I rarely had problems with the previous versions so not having any problems now doesn't tell me too much.

Thanks Ike. I don't experience many problems with 3.7 - except for trying to figure out the occasional unresolved items. I'll stick with 3.7 until there's major improvements. ActiveSync can be so finnicky, I'm a bit wary of tinkering with it...

Surprisingly, I happened to get ActiveSync 4.0 from somewhere more than 1 month ago. Is it really newer than 3.8?
I had problem with version 4.0: there is no "Allow Network [Etherner] and RAS connection with this computer", as guided on Iker-hiker's Wifi guide. That may be problem I cannot Sync over Wifi?

ActiveSync 4.0 is newer than 3.8, but has not been officially released by Microsoft. You have a leaked version that would be used at your own risk.

I upgrade to 3.8 without any issues at all. Just installed straight over the top of 3.7.1 and kept all my settings the same. I have not noticed any major improvements though, seems to be a little more stable and resolves items better.

I have 3.8 as well and didn't have any issue installing and using it. I run it with Outlook 2000 and Windows 2000.

ActiveSync 3.8 is all right, it's still not 100% compatible with Windows Xp 64-bit though.
