If I try using a older version of active sync, like before 3.7.1 would it work? Or would this problem be fixed in future versions of active sync?

Where can you get ActiveSync 4.0? The latest version on the MS Website is 3.8.

AS 4.0 is only in beta and has not been publically released. It does not work with a wireless sync and once you've installed it, you cannot go back to the previous version. IMO, you shouldn't mess with it.

I've never heard anyone make that suggestion before and I doubt that it's true.

Hi surftrunks99,
I have no problem syncing via WIFI.
I presume you can sync Okay via cable / cradle which proves the Partnership is setup correctly.
Do not have Activesync running on your PC.
Make sure your network adaper connects to 'Work'. Start Activesync on your PPC and hit the sync button.
Activesync should then start on your PC and Roberts your Fathers brother.

I'll make the assertion. Way too many posts on WAY too many different sites with people following all the guides and all the how tos coming up and saying "Can't sync!"
Can someone that has it working nmap themselves and see if 5678 and 5679 show as open and listening?

The opinions expressed above are not necessarily the opinions of management and in fact may be the opposite of that intended in order to confuse and obfuscate trolling readers.

I found that I was having problems doing wireless syncing if the axim's name contained the underscore charactor "_". Try renaming to only AlphaNumeric chars and give it another try. Renaming mine fixed it up right away.
