Problem with active sync?

How do you know if you isntalled the active sync ok? I tried to run it from the disk then it does nothing at all. Am I supposed to see anything???

you can download the latest version of activesyc (3.8 instead of 3.7) from the microsoft website... (and happy birthday btw)

I tried the 3.8 version which I downloaded and saw it extracting files and stuff. Still charging the Axim for the 8 hr period right now but I do not see anything new added to the start menu or control panel for the active sync. Should there be something there?
