Unwanted archiving

I'm not sure if this is a problem with activesync, or just the pocketpc concept, but my old appointments disappear after they are passed. Is this the default behaviour? Can I stop this from happening?

It is very frustrating if you want to know the last time you were out of town for work etc, tax purposes.

In Activesync you can tell it how much information to keep. Look in the calendar options.

Outlook also has an AutoArchive feature.

Check the calendar options under AS first.

I have a related question. Is there any way of merging the archived items back into the main folder? I tried dragging it but ended up with a subfolder.

Good question.... You could open it (archive.pst) and then export from the calendar and import back to your main calendar.

Not all version of Outlook support all the export and import options from what I hear. And it's a bit mickey mouse. But worth a shot.
