How do I get Outlook to override my PDA during sync?

I have an Axim X50v and I have, for some unknown reason gotten duplicate entries on both my PC and my PDA. I have cleaned up the duplicates on my PC and now want to sync, but I want the contacts list on my PC to overwrite my PDA contacts. How can I do this?

in activesync, change settings Options->rules->to "always replace files on my device" then sync.
