No ActiveSync sound at sync
Dell Axim x3i, A02 ROM. ActiveSync 3.8. This is kind of minor but if I turn down the sound on my PC speakers and cradle my Axim, no ActiveSync sound is emitted from the Axim when the ActiveSync begins. The volume on the Axim is fine and all other sounds and music and videos play fine. The sync process works fine also so I am not very concerned about it but I found it a bit odd. If I take the Axim out of the cradle, it makes the end of synch sound. Going to the Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications section of the Axim, the boxes for Events and Programs and Notifications are all checked on the Volume tab. On the Notifications tab, under "1. Select an event" I have "ActiveSync: Begin sync" selected. Under "2. Select how to be notified" I have the "Play sound" box checked and the "Infbeg" sound selected. It sounds fine when I tap the play arrow.
AFter doing a google search, I see this has happened to some people but no one has a fix for it?
I am thinking that the name of the sound file being "Infbeg" may mean that it should only make that sound if I am doing an infrared sync? Soft resets don't help. Just curious. Thanks.
