I need some help. When i got my X50v last week I named it "chris_Axim". Then I updated windows on the axim and that renamed it "Pocket_PC". I just went in and changed the name back to "Chris_Axim" and when I put it in the cradle to sync I got an error saying to have to rename it cos that name is being used be another device... if i didnt, it would only sync as a guest. So I pulled it out and changed the name back to "Pocket_PC" and got the same error message.

So... Does anyone know how I can get my PDA to be named what I wanna name it, and still have ti sync properly???

Hey Chrus,

Unless you have used Sprit Backup or something to restore your full registry then after you hard reset (which you will have done to do the ROM upgrade) you also need to delete the old partnership and make a new one. If you need help doing this let us know.

Another this is that the PPC name shouldn't have underscore in it. Check in my sig and follow the link to the ActiveSync tutorial.
