File synchronization to SD Card?

I have my Axim x50v up and running, active-syncing to two computers via ActiveSync v3.8. All is well and good.

I like the concept of the "synchronized folder", especially as I move files from work to home and back. The synchronization itself works well.

However ...

The ActiveSync synchronized folder is stored on the Axim in main memory. Is there a way to synchronize a folder stored on the SD card with one on my PC's hard drive?

The "options" for configuring "Files" on the desktop ActiveSync program allows me to select specific files, but does not allow me to change the directory used on the PC. I see no option here or on the Axim ActiveSync options menu to change the folder location on the Axim.

Looked at all 5 pages of posts in the ActiveSync forum, and if someone else has addressed this, I missed it.

Thanks in advance,
Kenster

Been using this freeware program for a while, and it works very well for exactly what you are describing:

http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=985

The freeware doesn't "translate" files like activesync does (say, for example, it won't reflow .pdf documents). They do, however, offer an add-on non-freeware program that will translate files. I haven't tried this program and can't offer an opinion.

That's perfect (it took me a while to decipher the Japanese web page, though).

Thanks!

A further note to anyone who uses this software:

1. I installed it at work (Windows 2000 Pro) - worked fine

2. I installed it at home (WinXP Pro) - hey, if you don't use two computers, what's the point, right?

It did not work on WinXP Pro (much cursing involved) until I set the compatibility mode in WinXP to emulate Win2K. Then it worked fine.
