i recently reloaded XP Pro on my PC and then applied SP2. Now i can't get the Activesynce software to install. It unzips the files to a temp directory and then craps out saying that directoryxxx is not found.
i have removed every fingerprint left by the aborted installation, also cleared out the temp files, and gone so far as to cold boot the PC. No go. It blows up at the same spot every time. In desperation i copied all the files from the temp folder into created folders on the PC that are being referenced by AS. While it does get farther into the install it stops, and then claims that the install was not successful. Any suggestions as to the next step? bird | |||

Did you look at the error message on Microsoft site? You may found your answer there.
