Activesync via WiFi, x50v

Can anyone help me with this problem, please?:
If I use the USB cable or Bluetooth, I can connect my x50v to the PC via Activesync without any problems. If I try WiFi, it says "communication impossible.....reconnect the device. If the problem persists, consult Microsoft aid.."
As far as I know I don't have a firewall problem with my network as I've just switched from an iPAQ fitted with a WiFi card (Prolink) to the Axim x50v. The iPAQ connected via WiFi just fine. The problem must be soemthing to do with the configuration of the inbuilt WiFi of the Axim. I should add that I can browse the internet and read my pop3 emails using the WiFi connected to my LAN, it's just Activesync that refuses to connect. I would appreciate some guidance, please.

Nick

How did you get BT working?

Haven't tried WiFi yet, but when I try BT between X50V and Dell latitude D610, they don't sync. PC BT utility tells me it's using COM40, but Activesync displays only COM 1, 3, 6,7 and USB as options. Do you know of a way to get Activesync to use COM 40?

You can't; Activesync only goes up to COM 9. The reason you have such a high number is that you have probably tried several times to connect devices to Activesync, and/or you have a lot of other BT services active. The only way I know out of this to to delete all the other BT services and hope you can get back to a lower COM port number.
