Internet explorer

Have attempted to access the internet using the AMIX 50V's wireless technology using Internet explorer as the browser. Evertime this is attempted I receive the "page you are looking for cannot be found" dialog box. What's weird is that I can get on line via AvantGo. How do I get "Exploder" to work? Thanks!

Just a thought, but have you checked to make sure that your settings in 'Settings/Conections/Advanced/Select Networks' is set to the same as what your wifi connects to. Inotherwords if 'Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using' is set to 'My Work Network' then when you connect to your wifi network you will also have to select 'This network connects to Work' for IE to run. For further info check the tutorials section.

You're not using Wi-fi if you're tethered to your computer. Are you using a cable/cradle to connect to your PC?

Sorry to wake up an old thread, but I have the same problem with PIE. I can view pages when I'm on WiFi but can't get anything when I'm connected to the PC via the cradle.

Everything is set to connect to 'My Work Network', but from the cradle, nothing connects.

Thanks

Um, I don't use ActiveSync much (Mac), and not at all to get out to the web, but isn't there an ActiveSync setting you need to make--on the PC--to the effect that ActiveSync is going to be used for a "pass-through" connection to the internet. It's in Options or some tab like that. (I could fire up VirtualPC to find it, but I hope you can find it first.)

Yes, I do believe there is a setting where you tell it to use pass through. You only have to set it once.

You're right, there is a setting, but it's been set for me since the beginning.

To add another twist, I run Journal Bar, and it's able to connect and download information with no problems. No connection via PIE though.
