activesync 3.8 and bluetooth

I have a d_link bluetooth adapter and an axim x50v.

I can see my axim device, however the bluetooth ports are com13 com14. when I look in active sync it only shows me com 1 and com3 are available. I am told that Windows XP SP2 supports bluetooth and does not need any other software installed. the tutorial on this site does not have generic installation instructions. I just downloaded activesync 3.8, with a hope that it will show me more com ports to select. (no luck).

How do I configure activesync to use com 13/14 or how do make bluetooth use com 4/5.

regards,

Dan

Most BT adapters have a section in their drivers/software that allow you to change "services" such as serial ports. It works even with my crappy generic BT dongle and allows me to dictate what COM# the serial ports use.
The invention of the flamethrower suggests that someone thought, "you know, I'd really like to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just too lazy to walk."

Hi, all Axim does support just 10 COMs.
You can't use COMs over 10.
It's a Windows bug.
