Can I change my Activesync name?
I wasn't paying attention when I set the unit up and now the activesync name is Pocket_PC. If I change it to something else, will that screw up any of the software I currently have installed? That may seem like a silly question but, back in my Palm OS days, software licences were all tied to the device id.

Most of the software that I have installed that uses an id uses the owner name info. You can change the AS id but keep in mind that it will be like starting over as far as saving things like files that are synced. It shouldn't be a big deal but you will have a new folder on your desktop with the new name in it.

I've done it several times with no issue. If you are a confident windows user you can even go into your registry to clean out the old sync reference.
