Problem: ActiveSync inexplicably re-synchronizes every file on my PocketPC

I have experienced a strange problem which I haven't been able to find any information on. When I docked my Axim X50 to synchronize today, for no apparent reason ActiveSync started re-synchronizing every single file on my PocketPC. Not only is this time-consuming (with the thousands of files I have on my Axim it takes an hour and a half) but it also resets the modified dates to today, so I can no longer tell when I last edited a particular file. If you have any clue as to what triggered this spontaneous synchronization frenzy, please post your thoughts!

It seems that the obvious way to circumvent this problem would be to make ActiveSync think that all files have been synchronized and it doesn't need to do it over. Unfortunately, I don't know how that could be done. If you know of any way to do this, I would greatly appreciate it if you posted it in this thread.

Thank you all very much for your time and for helping a fellow Axim user.

I have had the problem before with Active Sync 3.8 and the X30. The only way i was able to take care of the problem was to hard reset and reinstall everything fresh.

I'm not saying you should do that as well, but after getting annoyed for about 2 weeks i had finally had it and needed to do something about it.

I hope you find a solution however. Good luck.
