Interesting Freeware: AS Backup File Restorer

I had read about this a while ago, but never bothered to check it out. Today I stumbled upon it again. It looks kind of cool.

This program allows you to look inside of an ActiveSync backup file on your PC and extract specific files. For instance, if you had a document on your PPC that you've since lost, and it was saved with an old AS backup, you get get it out.

While I use Sprite mainly, I do AS backups to supplement my others. Can't be too careful in this regard.

Kind of cool. :approve:

I've seen this too, and always wondered how good it was. Since I don't use AS for backups anymore, any brave souls willing to try it? ;)

Before Sprite, I did try this a few times, and it does work as advertised, much better than doing a full restore just to recover 1 file :approve:
