Completed Tasks Re-setting After Synching
I am marking tasks as completed in Outlook on my pc. I have my pda connected and set to continuously synch. After I complete a task, after about 10 seconds (long enough for the ActiveSynch to do its thing), the Task is no longer completed and looks brand new.
It is a recurring task. When I originally mark it as completed, I see the Due Date move one week into the future. Then after the synch, the due date moves back a week and the reminder even pops up again!
Ahg! Why? :)

Hi:
I am observing a similar problem. With the PPC connected and ActiveSync (3.8) showing the green connected icon, I set a task as completed in Outlook (2002), but ActiveSync doesn't seem to take notice of it. However, if I then unset the completed status of the task in Outlook, the AS icon goes yellow and attempts to sync the task. Obviously, it "succeeds" and both show the task as not complete. I can re-try setting the task as complete in Outlook, but get the same result: PPC shows task as not completed. Disconnecting and reconnecting the device changes nothing. I've had the task completed in Outlook for over a week now and it is still showing as not completed on the PPC. This is clearly not isolated. Anyone have a solution?!
Cheers,
Paul

After a bit more searching, there appears to be quite a few occurences of the problem. Anyway, I decided to post on microsoft.public.pocketpc.activesync (on Google Groups) asking for a confirmation that it is a bug. Although I didn't mention it in the post, I grabbed AS4.0 recently (saw it on this forum somewhere) and am seeing the same problem.

Maybe playing around with the ActiveSync options->Rules will help some. Just a thought... Good Luck~

Just as I answered you I found the solution. Go to Active Synch and configure task as to show them all. Not only you wont get more tasks de4leted as you complete them but youŽll also recover all the completed task that you have done in the past

Great info. I can find the options->Rules screen on older versions of ActiveSync, but I can't find it on ActiveSync 4.1. Anyone know if it's there?
