Hello.

I have noticed that when I am using my Axim on the cradle (or syncing wirelessly), and I actually click on a task as being complete ON THE PDA, it syncs automatically and indicates the task as being complete on Outlook, as well.

However, when I "complete" the task in Outlook (check the box), it does not sync over to the PDA. ActiveSync does not even register a change. I have tried both 3.8 and 4.0.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have the settings of activesync to change items that are different on your PC from your AX.

If you make on change on your ax (let's say you change a phone number in CONTACTS), then when you sync and AS notices a difference, it changes the item on your PC. When you change an item on your PC, then you sync with AS, it will only make changes to your PC because of the selection you made in AS OPTONS screen. To check your current settings:

Open AS on your PC and click the OPTIONS tab.

Click the RULES tab

Make the change under CONFLICT RESOLUTION at the top.

I don't know if this is always true or if it's cause I have my axim set up improperly- But I have found that 2 way syncing with Activesync only works with files which are stored in "main memory" - if you have stored a file on the storage card or in "built in storage", sync doesn't work. So check where your application is storing the offending file- if its on the storage card, try telling the application to save it in main memory.
I less sure about this next point, but if the above doesn't help, try it: I THINK files also have to be in the "MY Documents" folder on the axim, in order to sync both ways.
I'd appreciate it if you'd let us know if any of the foregoing suggestions helped- I'd like to know if mine is the only PDA that behaves this way.
