Wrong appt time after activesync-ing

Whenever I create an appointment in Outlook, let's see 7pm, then after activesync-ing it, the appointment appears as 8pm on my X50v. I checked both the PC and X50v and they are set to the same time zone (i.e. GMT -5h, Eastern US). Does anybody else have this problem or can offer a solution?

What about Daylight Savings? Are both devices set up to follow Daylight Savings Time? My mother's was doing that when both her computer and her x50v were set to Eastern. Turned out her computer was not set to acknowledge Daylight Savings Time. As soon as that was fixed the problem was solved. She did have to correct the appointments one last time.
