Everytime I place the Axim in the cradle it starts to sync and I have to turn it off. Where is the option so it won't sync when I just put it in the cradle? Thanks in advance.

Open ActiveSync on the desktop, tap Options, then the Schedule tab. The top are is labled Desktop Schedule. Using the listbox, select Manually. Then on the Rules tab, uncheck the checkbox at the bottom labelled Open ActiveSync...

That didn't work...it still syncs every time.

In activesync click on Options/Schedule. You probably want to change yours to Manually.

Hmmm. AS probably wants that first handshake completed so that you can sync manually and also so that you can use the Explore feature. The only way to disable that is to go to Files/Connection Settings and uncheck the USB (or whatever your connection uses) checkbox. The downside is that you'll have to manually reenable that connection every time you want to sync. Also, you won't be able to use Explore, install software, etc.

As a compromise, you can disble USB and enable WiFi if you have a WiFi connection. Then you can charge in the cradle at will but only AS when you specifically connect via WiFi.

There is also some 3rd party software that will allow you to manually control when AS starts and stops. But really, is it so bad that is syncs when you connect it? Good Luck~
