Active Sync hangs on device

Active Sync works fine when I drop my device in the cradle. However, once it's complete, it hangs up on the device and stops syncronizing additional items.

I have to remove it from the cradle and select "Exit All Programs" from switcher menu. The device shows the "Active Sync is not responding..." screen, but it does not throw any error messages.

Returning the device to the cradle initiates another successful sync, along with the inevitable hang up on the device.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I had a bunch of trouble with 3.8, so I went back to 3.7 and works perfect.

That's good to hear. This is my first Windows Mobile device, so I've never had to revert to a prior version of Active Sync before. Is it as simple as removing it with "Add/Remove Programs" and then re-installing the previous version? Or, do I have to manually remove a bunch of files?

No, Just remove thru add/remove and install other. Do a reboot also when done, I think that helps after the install.
